- If the last digit of your student ID is an even number, you will take the midterm exam at 26310.

- (Sep/1) Some incorrect explanation was given during the lecture about the history of the UNIX founders.
- James Gosling was not one of the SUN founders. He joined later after earning his Ph.D. degree from CMU.
- Bill Joy is a UCB graduate. He was invited to the SUN microsystems when three Stanford graduate students began the company.
- I forgot to mention this in the class. Truly, SUN microsystems, and its employees, contributed a lot to the history of UNIX and Java.
